- 300th Anniversary Concert - Thank you
Here's a sneak peek from the walk thru at Center Field for the Old-Time Baseball Game, with players from the Police and Fire Departments, Honor Guards, Lexington Baseball Managers, and the Essex Ball Club.
GAME ON!! The Lexington 300th Anniversary team WILL bring you Old-Time Baseball today, May 26 - while adjusting for the weather…
We know how much people have put into their plans to attend the game, play in the game, and cheer on the players. We're doing everything to make sure the game is safe, fun & as dry as possible. We know that players in the 1860s would carry on -- and this is all about getting that old-time Lexington spirit out on the field & in the stands!
Click here for the updated schedule of the day with a weather delay included. See you there!
Join us as we commemorate the culminating weekend of Lexington’s town-sponsored 300th Celebrations at an Old-Time Baseball Game!
The game will incorporate several mini games with the Essex Baseball Team playing against a team of Lexington’s Finest (made up of Lexington Police and Fire officers) and against a team of Lexington Baseball Manager and Volunteers. The day will conclude with a regulation game of the Championship Lexington Blue Sox. Announcing the game
will be Sam Feeley. Hank Manz will be announcing the game for LexMedia, which will be taping the game and airing at a later date. Please check back with LexMedia for the schedule..
There will be kid’s entertainment, contests, games and music throughout the day.
Don’t miss the exciting Antique WWII Plane Flyover over Center Field just before the First Pitch at 12pm. The plane is the FM-2 Wildcat which was “the” fighter aircraft in the early stages of the Pacific War. Designed and
ordered in 1936, the Wildcat finally entered service in November 1940. Click here to see the plane!
For more information on the plane please click here. Thank you to sponsor Integration Partners Inc. for the plane flyover.
