GET READY ... GET SET ... GO!
On Saturday, September 22, 2012 get ready to run in Lexington’s version of “The Amazing Race" - "Race
Through Time". It will be a fast and furious course covering 3 miles. Teams will run around Lexington, stopping along the way at “challenge stops” to complete tasks that will celebrate Lexington's history. Please scroll down to read about race, registration and team details.

RACE DETAILS
RACE TIME: 12:30-3:30pm
START LOCATION: LHS Center Field Track
FINISH LOCATION: Gazebo, Hastings Park
The race will begin at 12:30pm to the sound of muskets fired by the Lexington Minute Men. Muskets will fire again when the first three teams cross the finish line. Teams will have up to three hours to complete the race.

TEAM DETAILS
Each team can have 2-5 members. To participate on a team, each individual must sign the registration form. Any team member who is under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign to give the team member permission.
In addition, team members must be entering 9th grade this September (or older) to participate. People who wish to participate, but are entering 8th grade (or younger), must be part of a team that includes at least one member 18 year of age or older. Team members must be residents of Lexington or Lexington town employees to enter.
Get creative! Name your team and create a memorable costume!
Each team member will receive a “Race Through Time” t-shirt and a chance to win one of the following prizes:
1st Place: $1,500
2nd Place: $1,000
3rd Place: $500
Cash prizes will be "Lexington Chamber of Commerce gift certificates" donated by Performance and Lifestyle Group to be used at local businesses.
Additionally, gift certificates for Saucony, Sperry Top-Sider, and Lexington Venue will be awarded for various team superlatives, such as, best costumes, best team name, etc.

Only the first 20 teams to hand-deliver their completed registration forms to the Town Clerk’s Office (1625 Massachusetts Avenue) will be accepted. Registration requires a
$35 per team entry fee, cash or check,

hand-delivered and may be turned in by one team member or a parent. The Town Clerk's office will accept forms Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
