- 300th Anniversary Concert - Thank you
On September 22nd, people of all ages gathered to celebrate Lexington’s 300th birthday by dancing the night away at Lexington High School. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces dancing to music from three different centuries. This was a dance for the entire community, and it wouldn’t have happened without help from the entire community. With over 100 volunteers, we can‘t thank everyone by
name, but there are a few groups who deserve special thanks.
Thank you to the members of the 300th committee and all those who worked behind the scenes making sure we had publicity and a safe environment. Thank you to all of the town employees, especially, Donna Hooper, our town clerk, who went above and beyond, helping us with all matters financial, and the LHS custodians who worked that night. The beautiful decorations throughout the high school were a joint effort between Dance Revolution 300 and the Opening Ceremonies Decoration teams. Their creativity on a small budget was amazing. LexFUN! Thanks for making sure our youngest dancers had a fun craft activity to keep them busy when they needed a break from dancing.

Thank you to Nick’s Place who helped provide dinner for our decorations teams, Whitsons, our LPS food provider, who provided all food very inexpensively, Wilson’s Farm who donated the pies and an anonymous donor who provided all of the chips, cookies, candy and ice-cream. Also, a very special thanks to all of the PTA/PTO organizations in Lexington for staffing the refreshment room.
And finally our sincerest thanks go to our co-committee members, who worked tirelessly with great dedication and enthusiasm. It's nights like Saturday that make us really appreciate what a great community we have. Thank you so much to EVERYONE who helped make Dance Revolution 300 such a success.
Kamala Soparkar and Kathleen Lenihan, co-chairs, Dance Revolution 300.
