The fun begins ... July 8, 2012
CLUE 1
Join us around town as we search high and low
Ending at the fair, where answers you show
A bookmark was given to Lexington children with clues
We hope this marker, they did not already lose
For the fifth hint down is where our hunt will start
(Although we shall share for the kids-at-heart)
Pick up a kit at this first scavenger station
Solve this clue at our place of taxation:
A place to register your dog or to wed or
as a candidate for elected office instead
The stamp you receive hides the year to record
The back page of the booklet is where these are stored
CLUE 2
For your next adventure off you will go
to the east side of town in a park you may know
Head to Rindge Road and find the playground
Next to the Arlington reservoir on a trail that goes ‘round
Take a crayon for rubbing the sign of the park
Choose the letter at the end of the word “embark”
Next find the sign that lists playground rules
Here you’ll find a year that they teach in the schools
Make a rubbing in the booklet and record the year
Then we’ll see you next week, with a new place to appear
Back to home
