Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
Listen my children and you shall hear
Of the scavenger hunt which is drawing near
Our clues will direct you to Lexington locations
To gather evidence from each of our stations
Marks and years is what you’ll be collecting
In a booklet provided for your detecting*
We will begin with a clue on the ninth of July
But you can get a hint now if you are spry
Bookmarks were given to the school children
And the hunt’s first location, inside it is hidden!
If you don’t have a bookmark, more can be found
At Cary Memorial where great books abound
Stay tuned for the clues, they’ll come two a week
Turn them in at the Fair at a booth you must seek
If you must go away on vacation and miss a clue
They’ll remain on the website for all to view
*The hunt is free for all in town, and we invite you to join us,
though a dollar donation (for the booklet) will ensure our success
